Thank you for visiting my website.
I’m a Native Nashvillian and my greatest loves are my family, food, Yoga, exercise, creative movement, writing, women’s health, and cultivating community.
I reside in Nashville with my husband Marcel, our son Cruz, and our two dogs Rico and Bessie. My husband and I have been together since 2006 and married since 2010. Marcel inspires me to constantly be a better person and dream big. We welcomed Cruz December of 2016 and he has brought so much joy to us. Being his Mother has been the toughest role I’ve ever had but the most empowering role as weIl. He has truly made me realize my strength and brought me to love my divine feminine side.
I work full-time as an accountant and right now only teach one public Yoga class a week. I’ve been teaching Yoga since 2014 in the Nashville and Franklin area and practicing Yoga since 2010. Yoga has kept me sane and has taught me so many lessons that I’ve taken off the mat and into my everyday life, such as patience, clarity, respect, mindfulness, and empathy. I teach Vinyasa Yoga, ‘Mommy and Me’ Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Restorative Yoga. I’m in the process of completing my 500 HR certification and Prenatal Yoga certification and will be completed with both certifications in late 2018. I’ve had the great privilege to study under Johnna Smith, Keleah Anderson, Daphne Larkin, and Tom Larkin.
Cooking is my passion and I love cooking meals for my family. Cooking is another creative outlet for me. My family and I are plant-based so we definitely get creative in the kitchen. Avocados and any cashew based sauce makes my heart and Cruz’ heart sing! Food is my medicine and taking the time to create a meal from start to finish brings me joy – sometimes stress – but overall joy.
My plate is full and sometimes shit hits the fan but my heart is very full. I have so much to be grateful for. My husband and family are very supportive. I don’t strive for perfect balance. Balancing just stresses me out. I take it a day at a time. I try to make time for things that are important and don’t beat myself up if I don’t conquer my entire to-do list. Life is too fucking short! My goal in creating this website was to have a place to share my passions and experiences. “Change is good but evolving is better.” My teacher Tom Larkin said this to me and that’s been my inspiration to prevent being stagnant and enjoying the evolution of life.
I hope my blog can resonate with you and if you have any amazing tips or recipes, I’d love to see them!
